Avalanche Training Center

Please note that when freeriding, you are off the secured slopes. It is not enough to wear only the recommended safety equipment! Acquire the necessary knowledge to correctly assess snow and weather conditions and thus minimize the risk. In the ski area you will find information about the avalanche situation, but you should check the situation before you go to the mountain and plan your ski day accordingly.

The Avalanche Training Center is available to all guests of the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. It is the ideal training location for groups, courses for specialists, exams or individuals. The training centre on Gurschenalp is easily accessible by cable car and snowshoes. The training takes place with the personal equipment. On an avalanche cone with 16 controllable transmitters, single and multiple burial searches can be trained.
